Se Cathedral- Located some 9kms from Panaji, the capital of Goa, Se cathedral is one of the largest churches of Asia that took almost 80 years to build. Dedicated to St. Catherine of Alexandria, it is notable for its giant bells and intricately carved altar.

Church of St Francis of Assisi- Located within the Se Cathedral premises, the Church of St Francis of Assisi is notable for its architectural style and wooden carvings. A part of the church functions as a museum also.

Goa Wildlife Sanctuary and Park

Not many people are aware of Goa being home to at least four wildlife sanctuaries. A must visit for those with kids and those who love wildlife, it is recommended that you hire a car /cab should you wish to visit any of these sanctuaries:

o Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary- Sanguem district, South Goa
o Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary -Canacona district, South Goa
o Bondla Wildlife Sanctuary- At the border of Ponda and Sanguem district, North East Goa.
o Dr. Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary

Old Hindu temples of Goa

Like its churches, the temples of Goa are also known for their architecture and aesthetic style notable among which are the :

o Shri Datta Mandir in Sanquelim
o The Mangesi temple dedicated to Lord Shiva
o The Shantidurga temple located in Kavlem, Fatorpa and Pemem.

Forts of Goa

With Goa being ruled over by the Portuguese for over 400 years it is but obvious that they would constructed forts and fortress to secure their hold in Goa. Of noteworthy are the forts of Terekhol, Cabo da Rama,Chapora and Aguda.
