Goa Serviced Apartments

A popular beach destination off the western coast of India, the tiny emerald state of Goa continues to attract people from far and wide all throughout the year. Its salubrious climate, swaying coconut trees, beautiful secluded beaches and a languid lifestyle are some of the few reasons that has made the state one of the most visited beach destinations of the world. Though Goa has got lots of attractions to its name ranging from Old Hindu temples, churches, Portuguese forts to even beautiful waterfalls (Dudhsagar falls) and national parks (Bhagwan Mahaveer Sanctuary and Mollem National Park), it is however for its beaches that Goa is more renowned for. In fact, such is the beauty of Goa that people who generally come down to the state for a 2-3 day short vacation often end up extending their stay to the extent that some even end up buying and renting holiday apartments there.

Most of the tourists who visit Goa prefer to stay in North Goa as opposed to South Goa mainly due to its beaches reportedly to be the best in the country and also due to logistics reason. Between the two, North Goa is far better connected to the rest of the country by air, rail and road. It is in North Goa that the capital Panjim is located as also some of the state attractions and it is here that one will find some of the wonderful specimens of Indo Portuguese architecture best evident in the houses that are rented out to vacationers as holiday homes. Calangute, Baga, Anjuna, Vagator, Dona Paula, Candolim and Sinquerim are the popular beaches of North Goa where you will find the bulk of holidayers either participating in various water sports or enjoying themselves at one of the many flea markets or clubs located there.

As opposed to the boisterous North, South Goa is relatively quiet and is usually preferred by those looking for some peace and serenity. Its beaches – Palolem, Agonda, Colva, Majorda, Benalium Varca, Cavelossim, and Mabor are less crowded than those of North and are notable for the various fishing villages that are located there.

The best way to discover Goa is to hire a bike and go about exploring its many jewels- Basilica of Bom Jesus,Se Cathedral,Church of St. Francis of Assissi, Mangeshi temple, Fort Aguda and Velha Goa and host of hidden gems. And if you want to explore its mixed Indo –Portuguese best seen in its cuisine, music and dance simply rent a home and enjoy your holiday blissfully.
