This masterpiece of modernista architecture is impressive for its height and intricate design.

In addition to the Basílica y Temple Expiatori de la Sagrada Família, one can aslo view the other UNESCO World Heritage Sites like the Palau de la Música Catalana, Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau , Casa Milà , Casa Vicens, Palau Güell, Park Güell and the Casa Batlló in addition to those of Picasso Museum (opened Tuesday to Sunday from 10am -8pm); Barcelona FC Museum-for the diehard footie fan ; The Magic Fountain of Montjuïc , the L'Aquarium de Barcelona and Barcelona Zoo for the kid in you.

Most of these city attractions are within the city and are easily reachable by both the car and the bus. Those who prefer to cycle from their holiday rental can also do so. Just check with your host as to how to hire a cycle, scooter or a bike and explore the city on your own and at your own convenience.
