Held during the months of June- July, the festival brings together well known jazz musicians from all around the world for full two weeks of soulful music.

The Venue & its Attractions
The Parc Floral de Paris or for that matter the Bois de Vincennes is one of the cities many beautiful parks and gardens. Located on the outskirts of the city, the park rated to be one of Paris largest parks is notable for the 14th-century fortified chateau- the Chateau de Vincennes; the imposing Buddha Statue on the west side and its many lakes that are fed by a network of streams. These lakes – the lake Gravelle, the Minims Lake, the Lake Saint-Mandé and the man-made Daumesnil Lake are great for picnics and boating and are very popular among kids and young couples.
However, it is the main highlight of the Bois de Vincennes is its park. Located on the east side of the Bois de Vincennes, the Parc Floral is notable for its large varieties of flowers and botanical plants that includes camellias, rhododendrons, dahlias, 650 varieties of irises and 250 varieties of tulips. The park is truly a sight to behold during the summer and autumn months so don’t forget to bring your camera with you while leaving the confines of your short term let. Do that and you will regret it for the rest of your life...just is the beauty of the park.
Paris Jazz Festival 2013 Tickets
No tickets are required to attend the festival; you only need to pay the entry fee for the park which costs around €5 with kids under 7s allowed free.
Paris Jazz Show Date and Timings
This annual free jazz festival will be held from June 8 2013 to July 28 2013 in the big open hall of the picturesque Parc Floral de Vincennes only on Saturdays and Sundays. The concerts will start around 3Pm and will last till the wee hours of the night.
Getting to the Park
The beautiful Parc Floral de Vincennes is situated in the heart of the Bois de Vincennes woods. Located towards the east of Paris in the 12th arrondisement, the district is well connected to Paris and its suburbs by the RER, metro and the bus. If coming by the metro, get down at the stations of Bérault and Château de Vincennes; the Vincennes station located on the north west of the woods is your best bet if coming by the RER. But if it’s the bus that you fancy then make sure to take the 46 & 112 bus lines for the park.
However, if you are not that keen on travelling all the way from your holiday apartment located elsewhere in Paris, but still want to attend the musical concert. No problems, there are scores of holiday flats available in and around the 12 arrondisement which you can rent out for a pittance. So, why not try them out?
