Paris–Le Bourget Airport



The oldest airport of Paris, the Paris–Le Bourget Airport is located some 11km north-northeast of Paris in the districts of Bonneuil-en-France and Dugny. Though the airport started its operations in 1919, it is now solely used for business and general aviation viz private flying, flight training, air charter, corporate jet flights etc and for hosting the odd air shows like the Musée de l'Air et de l'Espace and the the Paris Air Show. This airport is best suited for business travellers staying in a short term let near the airport as it helps eases the travelling cost. Paris–Le Bourget Airport has found a place in the history books as landing place for Charles Lindbergh's historic solo transatlantic crossing in 1927.

Beauvais-Tillé Airport



Though popularly advertised as Paris-Beauvais, this airport is some 85km from Paris in the city of Beauvais - Tillé. The airport is best suited for those planning to go to Paris Disneyland however for those planning to go to Paris, the best option is to take a private scheduled coach that takes 75 mins to reach Paris (17th eme) besides the many taxis and shuttle services available. The Beauvais-Tillé Airport was built during the 1930’s and has two terminals, several restaurants & snack bars, and shopping areas.

The Orly Airport



Built in 1932 to ease the load of Le Bourget, the Orly airport, originally known as Villeneuve-Orly Airport is an international airport hosting about 30 airlines and catering to flights from within Europe, the Middle East, Africa, the Caribbean, North America and Southeast Asia. Located 10 miles south of Paris, the airport besides having duty-free shops restaurants, lounges, and play areas for kids has two terminals:

• Orly Ouest for domestic flights, including Air France.

• Orly Sud - for international and charter flights


For those coming to Paris solely for business, the Orly airport is the best way to get in and out of Paris city. Not only is the airport within easy reach from most holiday homes and apartments but the presence of a business centre within its precincts makes it easy to host seminars and meetings.

Reaching the Orly aiport is easy as the airport is well connected by buses, shuttle services as well as the RER B rail. For those wishing to take the car/cab, the best way to reach the airport is to take the A106 autoroute.

Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport



Also known as the Roissy Airport, the CDG is France’s largest airport located 25kms northeast of Paris. It is the world’s seventh busiest airport and the second busiest airport after London Heathrow in terms of passenger handling. It has three terminals

• Terminal 1:the oldest terminal of the lot, it host most non-Air France international flights, including United Airlines, Us Airways, Lufthansa, and Virgin Atlantic.
• Terminal 2: the largest of the three, it is broken into 6 smaller terminals (A-F) and caters to Air France flights, as well as American Airlines, British Airways, Delta Air, and Northwest Airlines.
• Terminal T-3 - for budget and charter flights, including Ryanair and Easyjet.

In addition to its many restaurants, shops, wi-fi zones and day care centre, the Charles de Gaulle Airport is home to several office buildings, shopping areas, and hotels that are located within its precincts.

Just like the Orly airport, getting to the CDG airport is easy. Besides the free automatic shuttle rail services that connects the three terminals, there is the TGV that connects the airport with the rest of the French cities. So irrespective of whether you are staying in a short stay apartment in Paris or a vacation rental in some other nearby French city you can be sure of reaching the airport on time. Other way to reach the airport from Paris is to take the bus, the RER and the autoroute A1.

In addition to these main airports, there are a few other small airports that cater to travellers from all over the world. So, if you have a flight that lands at any of these airports, you now know where to book your holiday rental for your Paris vacation. Some of those airports are:

• Meaux-Esbly : 45 minutes from Paris and 5km southwest of Meaux, this airport opens up only when there is a request to handle international traffic.
• Lognes-Emerainville : 28km east of Paris, handles international traffic only when requested
• Persans-Beaumont Vexin : 3km from Beaumont, this airport handles international traffic only on request
• Pontoise-Cormeilles en Vexin : 7m from Pontoise, this airport takes care ofinternational traffic when requested
• Toussus-Le-Noble :6km from Versailles, handels international traffic. Chavenay-Villepreux :12km from Versailles.
• Chelles le Pin :2km from Chelles.
• Coulommiers-Voisins :, 7km from Coulommiers.
• Etampes-Mondésir :7km from Etampes and one hour from Paris.
• Saint-Cyr :, 4km from Versailles.
